Watercolour for Beginners (concentrating on botanical art)

In this fun class for complete beginners you will learn how to realistically paint in watercolour; flowers, plants, shells and other inspiring natural objects.
You will be introduced to mixing colours, applying washes, dry brush, composition and various techniques which will cover basic botany leaf and flower structures.
Community Craft Group
Term 2: April 17 - June 26

This is an opportunity to meet other people who share your passion for craft, swap patterns, share skills and knowledge and make some new friends.
$9 per session
Learn to crochet or get back into it. Hands on lessons on a variety of stitches, follow a basic pattern, improve your crochet skills and complete a project.

Spend a day using recycled textiles and giving life to fabrics you thought would end up in the rubbish bin. Old linens, cottons and silks come to life in the indigo vat producing beautiful blues, that can be used in dressmaking, bag making or patchwork, only limited by your imagination.
Painting Class - Oil/Acrylic
Term 2: April 17 - June 19
Learn to manipulate oil/acrylic paint to suit the different moods encountered in a broad range of subject matters, ie landscape, seascape, figurative. An experienced tutor will lead lessons through some demonstrations and will discuss composition, colour, tonal values and texture.
First Wednesday of the month

A dedicated group meet monthly to share their knowledge and enjoy the art of patchwork. Experienced and newcomers welcome.
Term 2: April 19 - June 28

Come along and join this workshop under the guidance of Jack. Specialising in pencil, pen and wash.

You will be amazed at how quickly you will learn to make your own yarn. The enjoyment comes from the creative process rather than aiming for a perfect ply. The group is very generous with their time and knowledge for beginners and spinning wheels are available on loan so come along and see if it's for you.
Watercolour Painting (Advanced)
Term 2: April 20 - June 22
$ 130 per person
Watercolour is art's most expressive and spontaneous medium. Learn the wet into wet technique with an experienced and well qualified teacher/artist.
Lessons cover a broad range of subject matter, including landscape, seascape and streetscape. You must have some previous watercolour painting experience.
