Botanical Illustration for Beginners

Be guided each week as you create beautiful botanical works in a contemporary style in an encouraging and fun class for beginners. Learn to paint flowers, fruits and plants in magnificent watercolour, capturing colour and detail realistically.
Watercolour Painting (Intermediate)
Term 1, 2019
$14 per class
Watercolour is art's most expressive and spontaneous medium. Learn the wet into wet technique with an experienced and well qualified teacher/artist.
Lessons cover a broad range of subject matter, including landscape, seascape and streetscape. Previous watercolour painting experience would be useful but not essential. Call for more information.
Social Sewing Group

Social sewing is the perfect opportunity to get some motivation and dedicate some time to those projects you’ve started. We provide easy to use sewing machines, over lockers, iron, ironing board and the all-important tea and coffee! All levels of sewing experience are welcome, but these sessions are not facilitated, so a basic level of experience is recommended. Bring your own projects and your usual sewing tools.
Painting - Oil/Acrylic
Term 1, 2019 - 12 February - 2 April
Learn to manipulate oil/acrylic paint to suit the different moods encountered in a broad range of subject matters, ie landscape, seascape, figurative. An experienced tutor will lead lessons through some demonstrations and will discuss composition, colour, tonal values and texture.
Community Craft Group

This is an opportunity to meet other people who share your passion for craft, swap patterns, share skills and knowledge and make some new friends.

You will be amazed at how quickly you will learn to make your own yarn. The enjoyment comes from the creative process rather than aiming for a perfect ply. The group is very generous with their time and knowledge for beginners and spinning wheels are available on loan so come along and see if it's for you.
Learn to Turn
Term 1, 2019 - Feb 2, 16, 23, March 9, 30, April 6
This course will teach the basics of spindle turning and bowl turning as well as maintenance of the lathe and tools.
The cost includes all materials required and tuition as well as the initial joining fee and membership of the Guild until August.
